Stephanie & Willie’s Wedding!

When I get the opportunity to work with clients that are as excited about their wedding photography as I am, it really makes me smile. When I tell you that Stephanie & Willie are awesome, I absolutely mean it. I had the privilege to meet up with them earlier in the year for their engagement session (Here) and immediately knew their wedding day would be like no other. Fast forward a couple of months, and it was time to enjoy their wedding day with all their fun friends and family.

I started out by meeting up with Stephanie and the girls in the afternoon, just before they started getting dressed for the ceremony. This was great because the Ravella has some outstanding locations, details, and dressing suites. I used the time to take some shots of all the details, including the dresses. After Stephanie was ready, I snapped a few shots of her looking so beautiful. She had such a genuine smile, and it was easy to see how excited she was to marry the love of her life.

The ceremony was filled with so many smiling faces, those of which I would become very familiar with later in the evening. After a sweet ceremony, we headed outside to get some dramatic shots of the wedding party. The sun was just starting to go down and this gave me the option of shooting some natural light shots as well as some artificially lit shots (my favorite due to the rich colors). As you can see from the shots below, this fun group was just the start of the entertainment to come. The reception started with the B&G busting out a very skillful, choreographed, and energetic first dance that they had both been taking classes to perfect. It was very cool! After some food, beer, and cake, it was about time for everyone to start letting loose. That is exactly what they did!

I have always been treated like family by Stephanie & Willie, and today was no exception. Willie’s mother reminded me of my second mom back home, Rosy. Willie’s mother is one of the sweetest women I have ever met, and she was adoringly proud of her son on his big day. Although most photographers dont like to

share photos with everyone until they had an opportunity to edit them, I kept making it an exception to allow her access to all the photos on the camera throughout the evening!

Stephanie, Willie, I have had a lot of fun shooting weddings but yours was one of the best! I cannot thank you two for welcoming me in literally, like family. I felt as if I was a part of your guest list all night and this allowed me to get to know you all so well. I wish you the best in your long life together and look forward to getting together for dinner as we talked about….
