My last wedding of the year was in beautiful San Diego, which allowed me an excuse to turn it into a mini vacation for the family. We left on Wednesday on our 5hr journey from Las Vegas and we were nervous about the drive because Adelynn had never been in the car for more than 30 minutes at a time before. Normally after about 15 minutes in the car, she starts getting irritable. However, to our surprise, she didn’t fuss ONE time on the drive to California. THANK GOD!
We had a few days off before Rachel & David’s wedding at the Madera Golf Club in northern San Diego on Saturday. This gave us some time to go visit a few hot spots while we were in town. We started off with taking a trip to Sea World to see Shamu and many other aquatic animals. It was actually a very nice deal for us because Busch Gardens parks allow free entry for military and dependents once a year! Click here to find out more. We had already had pretty decent luck on the trip so far with Adelynn, so we decided to try an all day outing to the park and hope for the best.
Words cannot describe how amazing these killer whales are until you see them in person. They put on a great show, things I didn’t realize were even possible. Adelynn had a blast the entire day. I do not know what it is about Elmo, but kids seem to get stuck on stupid when he is around. ANT was no exception, she was enamored by him. I really wish she was able to remember how much fun she was having, but I guess photos will just have to do. All in all, it was a great day for us and definitely worth the free entry! Here are some of the photos from our trip to Sea World.
